Young Women: New Beginnings

At the beginning of every year, the leaders in Young Women’s will put on the New Beginnings program. This program is designed to outline the purposes of the Young Women’s program. It will introduce the theme, and the motto of the Young Women’s program. The meaning of each of the seven values will be reviewed and explained. The program is one of two more formal programs that the Young Women’s leaders put on every year. The class presidencies are supposed to assist in the planning of the evening as well. Marriage Can Make You Smarter

A study from Brigham Young University recently reported that a happy marriage could lower your blood pressure. Now neuroscience is noticing that marriage can make you smarter, too. In the early stages of a relationship (that first, exciting rush of love), your brain might not be in the right state for intellectual pursuits. A lot of the beginnings of love are driven by the euphoric feelings that come from dopamine — a brain chemical that produces powerful, pleasurable feelings. Holy Huddles or Reaching Outwards

Are we in danger of creating holy huddles? It appears we are. In Australia it was revealed in our latest monthly church newsletter that 60% of those who do not attend church have, ‘no close friends involved in a church.’ That is a staggering statistic and one that needs to be changed. Tips for Single Dating

After going through my divorce, I thought I would never date again. Interestingly, I chose not to date for more than six years so I could focus on raising my children.
