1) You may want to start by simply having a weekly meeting in which the two of you sit down and plan the week. You can start the meeting with prayer and by discussing a scripture. In this meeting you can discuss the ways that you are teaching the gospel to your children, household chores and any concerns you may have about your family.

2) You should have couple prayer together daily, this one of the simplest ways to join together as a couple. It only takes a few minutes a day. If you or your spouse travels extensively you can even pray together over the phone each night.

3) You may also want to schedule time to attend the temple together regularly. This is a very important way to grow together spiritually and to support each other.

4) Take time to communicate each other. You can email, I.M. or call each other throughout the day. You can also spend some time together each evening talking while you do the dishes or sort the clothes. This will help your relationship to continue to grow.

5) Take the time to surprise each other occasionally you can do this with a simple note, a gift or a massage. You may do something more elaborate on special occasions, but it is important to realize that small every day actions really do affect your relationship more.
