May is Celiac Awareness Month

Did you know that May is Celiac Awareness Month? Only a few states are officially recognizing it. The purpose is to bring awareness to celiac disease, (and also to gluten allergies and gluten intolerance). There are a lot of people, both adults and children, who cannot safely eat foods that contain gluten. What is celiac disease? It is a type of autoimmune digestive disease. When people who have celiac disease eat foods that contain gluten (from ingredients like wheat, rye, or barley), their bodies cannot properly digest it. All I remembered was that as a youth I used to think of the pamphlet as guidance for what I wasn’t supposed to do. Celebrity Headlines: “High School Musical” Returns and Oprah Gets a New Dog

It was just a matter of time before we were all in this together… again. Disney just announced that it plans to go back to school with “High School Musical 4.” The fourth edition of the cult phenomenon will reportedly begin production later this year and air sometime in 2010. Disney sources say the popular musical will include a few new twists this time around, including the introduction of a new cast of characters and a storyline that will focus on a cross-town school rivalry.
