The Week in Review: August 12-18

Our blog this week has ranged from scripture study to serving others to Sunday vacations.

Monday, August 13th: In Putting Your Goodies to Good Use, we talked about some great ways to put some of the technological things from the church website to use in our daily lives. And in Dinner Discussions 2007 Week 30, we reviewed our lessons from church on Sunday.

Tuesday, August 14th: In General Conference: "The Priesthood-A Sacred Gift", we discussed President Monson's talk on the responsibilities that come with the Priesthood. In Dozed and Confused, we discussed sleeping in church. In Do You Have Time to Study the Scriptures?, we pondered one of the hardest parts about daily scripture study. And in Primary Time: Assigning Talks, we talked about the importance of allowing children to speak in their Primary classes.

Wednesday, August 15th: In Relief Society: Nurturing Others, we talked about the need to nurture. In Helping Those Who Don't Want Help, we talked about the fact that sometimes the best way to help someone is to love them. And in The Spiritual Moments, we considered the importance of teaching our children to recognize and enjoy the Holy Spirit.

Thursday, August 16th: In The Courage to Live Your Convictions, we talked about the need to stand up for your beliefs. In Young Women: 5 Ideas for Spiritual Activities, we discussed some great ways to help the girls in your care grow spiritually. And in Are You Doing Too Much For Your Calling?, we talked about the need to focus and not over embellish.

Friday, August 17th: In The Scout Committee, we reviewed the various ways committee members can help the ward scout master. And in Remember Why You Got Married, we discussed the importance of not letting the day-to-day monotony kill our marriage.

Saturday, August 18th: In Vacation and Church, we talked about how we can focus our spiritual growth while traveling on vacation. In Teaching Your Children Kindness, we offered suggestions for teaching our kids to be kind. And in Family Councils Can Bring Your Family Closer Together we talked about how to best use family councils to strengthen our families.
