In the Book of Moses 5:6, we read: And after many days an angel of the Lord appeared unto Adam, saying: Why dost thou offer sacrifices unto the Lord? And Adam said unto him: I know not, save the Lord commanded me. Adam did not know why he should offer the sacrifice. He had not yet been taught the principle of sacrifice, the symbolism behind it, the ways in which it would bring him spiritually closer to Heavenly Father—all he knew was that he’d been asked to do it, and so he did. As we continue to catch up on the Spencer W.
