Each of us face trials throughout our lives, it can be difficult to go through these times. It is important to realize that we each have the ability to pray for peace. So often when we are in the midst of a trial we focus our prayers on having the burdens lifted or for the trial to end. The times that we struggle in life help us to grow spiritually. If you find that you are in the midst of a trial and just can not handle anymore, pray for peace. It will come.

When you pray for peace, it does not necessarily mean that the trial will be easier. The peace the Lord sends may help you to focus on what needs to be focused on. It should bring with it a calm assuring feeling that He is there and that He loves you. This peace can help you through your toughest times and experiences.

Additionally if you are struggling with specific doctrines or commandments, you can pray that you may receive peace concerning the matter. It will come as you pray and meditate on the matter. As you seek the answer, it may take some time to come. It is important to realize that this may be a test of your faith, as you continue to pray and study the scriptures, the answer will come and you will be strengthened and comforted.

There may be times in your life when you are consumed with grief or remorse. You can pray for comfort at these times as well. The Lord is aware of each of us and He is there to give us comfort, as we need it. He is there when you ask for help and guidance. He may not take the burdens away, but He can give you strength to carry them. He will also give you the comfort you need as you seek it from Him.
