I came home from ward council last night feeling a little depressed. I think the feeling was mutual among everyone there. It was probably because our Bishop seemed sad and frustrated about our efforts in the ward with home teaching, visiting teaching, and trying to reach out to others. There frankly are way too many less active people in our ward and not enough active people to visit them all. This leaves a great burden on those that are active to try to reach out. This past Sunday at church, we found out that our stake and two other stakes on either side of us are being reorganized. In many parts of the country and the world, this is not an abnormal occurrence. Yesterday, we talked about unconventional methods of serving the sisters in our Relief Society. Packer of the Quorum of the Twelve gave a talk entitled “Reverence Invites Revelation.” He speaks of the need for reverent behavior and how such quiet can usher in the delicate promptings of the Holy Spirit.
