We have had a few blogs covering the different aspects of preparedness. In Are You Preparing in All Areas of Your Life? Miriam points out the importance of being physically prepared to meet the challenges that life throws your way. In What's In Your Food Storage? Tristi points out some areas that you may not have considered, as well as the importance of adapting food storage to your family's needs.

Tristi has added a great new section about daily scripture study. You can read more of her insights in 1 Nephi 2:1-4, Scripture Study: 1 Nephi 2:5-7, Scripture Study 1 Nephi 2:8-14, Scripture Study: 1 Nephi 2:16-18 and Scripture Study 1 Nephi 2:19-24. Tristi offers further insight into the scriptures with Obedience - The Stories of Samson and Joshua. You can gain a lot from Marking your Scriptures, be sure to read these to learn some tips to make your marking work most effectively for you.

We've also had several blogs that have focused on improving ourselves spiritually. In Too Distracted to Go to the Temple, Tristi talks about the importance of making time to visit the temple. In Organized Religion Tristi emphasizes why it is important to attend church and be part of organized religion. In What Direction Have You Pitched Your Tent? Miriam talks about how your daily decisions can reflect and affect your commitment to the gospel. In Faith Is a Decision Miriam discusses that once you believe you need to act upon those beliefs. In Accountablity Tristi talks about agency and the importance of being accountable. In Putting Off the Natural Man discusses the personality traits that may stop us from reaching our full potential in the gospel.

This last week we all took time to remember September 11th. In Making the World Better Miriam talks about how we can help those around us after experiening a hardship, this is an introspective on 9-11. Tristi gives further insight on 9-11 in Hope-a Gift from God. Tristi discusses the true meaning and commitment of baptism in The Symbolism of Baptism.

Several blogs focus on teaching your family. Dinner Discussions 2007 Week 34 reviews last week's lessons, so that you can talk them over with your children. Having a less active or nonmember spouse can make the gospel a a touchy subject. Your Children and Your Less Active Spouse discusses the best way to deal with this issue. Young Women: Modesty gives suggestions on ways to help your young woman dress modestly. Tristi shares a story about her family in A Beautiful Family Home Evening.

There have been several blogs on church organizations and callings as well. Relief Society: Healthy Enrichment Groups gives four ideas of groups your ward can implement to help your sisters focus on healthy living. Primary Time: Teaching Sunbeams discusses specific challenges that a Sunbeam teacher has to face. In Do You Feel Forgotten? Miriam discusses what to do when you feel lost in your ward.

Tristi offers some great insight on last week's lesson in RS/EQ: The Law of Chastity. In General Conference: "It's True, Isn't It? Then Nothing Else Matters" you can review what Elder Neal A Anderson says about personal conviction and testimony.
