The Perils of Pornography – Part Two

Today I’m discussing the two types of pornography addicts we typically see in the Church, those who know it’s a sin and are trying to overcome it, and those who don’t see the harm in it. Hints for Avoiding Objectionable Content in Books

Every reader has their own boundaries when it comes to content in books. Some prefer to read books with no language and no violence at all. Others will tolerate a small amount of mild swearing, while others really aren’t bothered by much of anything. Isn’t it great that we have such a wide range of literature to choose from, that we can all find things we like? Accepting All the Different Influences

When I set out on the road to parenthood, I saw myself as the idyllic mother who would have intense, benevolent influence on her children. They would absorb my ideas and values and I would send them out into the world as all the things I wasn’t. Well, reality is a little bit different. Yet it is important that we are responsible about what we allow our children to watch, and that we teach them to make responsible choices as they grow older. In all honesty, my husband and I are the most liberal among our … Continue reading
