Over the past week I have spent a great deal of time cleaning out a closet in my home. In this particular closet I had stored several years of clothes for my children. I spent the time sorting through the boxes, organizing them and giving away the excess I had accumulated. It can be difficult to get back on the right path when you have strayed or drifted away. We have certainly had a prolific week here at the LDS Family Blog! The blogs have ranged in subject, covering nearly every aspect of the gospel. Let’s take a stroll through just a few of them. In his talk “The Plan of Salvation” Elder L Tom Perry explains the Plan of Salvation. He begins by sharing the story of a young woman who was able to share the gospel with an acquaintance. The most important thing that she shared was the Plan of Salvation. It affected the acquaintance and caused him to look more closely at the church. In his talk “The Great Plan of Happiness” Elder Marcus B Nash speaks of the importance of living the gospel. He begins by stating the importance of having the Holy Ghost as your companion. He then shares a story about the first time that he went fishing. He tells us that his father told him the importance of setting the hook in the fish’s mouth by jerking back after the fish has taken the bait.
