In his talk "Preach My Gospel-the Unifying Tool Between Members and Missionaries" Elder Erich W Kopischke speaks about the importance of everyone studying the Preach My Gospel manual. Elder Kopischke opens his talk by sharing a personal experience his family had when the missionaries challenged them to mark their scriptures in a particular way. This challenge helped them to study their scriptures in a new way and it came from the Preach My Gospel manual.

Elder Kopischke explains that the missionaries have been using this new program for three years to teach people. He points out that if we take the time to study the manual we can understand what the missionaries are teaching and the best ways to work with the missionaries and to understand their goals.

Elder Kopsichke briefly explains the sections in the manual and points out that many of the sections in the manual will help each of us to draw closer to the Savior and lead happier lives. He then lists specific times that we can use the manual in our home including family home evening and personal study. He specifically mentions that the youth should study the manual as well.

This is a great talk. As I have looked over and studied portions of the Preach My Gospel manual, I have been impressed with the information available. The manual helps you to build a strong relationship with the Savior and strengthen your testimony so that you can share it with others. It also guides you through a course of study about the gospel. This manual really can benefit your personal study as well as prepare your children to serve missions.

If you need a copy of the manual or one for each member of your family you should be able to find it at any LDS bookstore or distribution center. Additionally you can order it online through the church's website. This is a wonderful tool for you to use with your own study and with teaching your family the gospel. I hope that you will take the time to study it.
