Many of us have heard President Monson talk about an “attitude of gratitude” and how it will make our lives seem happier and more bountiful. Family Home Evening: Respecting Family Rules

An important concept to teach our children is the importance of family rules and following them. Children should understand that the rules are there for a reason, and should have a chance to voice their opinion about the rules when you make them. You may want to hold a family home evening or family council meeting specifically about family rules. The Sharing Time theme for January is “I am a child of God and He has a plan for me.” The scripture reference is from the second paragraph of the Proclamation to the Family. In her talk “Look toward Eternity!” Sister Elaine S Dalton speaks about the importance personal worthiness. She begins her talk by sharing her experience when her first grandson was born. The spirit the family felt was very strong. She leaned over to her youngest son, and asked him if understood why it was important to stay pure and clean. He responded that he did.
