This week's dinner discussions are based on lesson 35 in the lesson manuals. You should adjust according to your ward's schedule. Remember to keep the dinner discussion upbeat and positive. This should be a good experience for your family and you are just reinforcing what they learned in classes this week.

If you have a child in Nursery or Sunbeams he learned about being kind to animals. The children learned about Noah and the Ark. They also learned about the responsibilities that come with caring for a pet. The children also talked about how the animals were created. It might be fun to plan a family trip to a nearby zoo or farm.

If you have a child who is four to seven years old, she learned about talents. The children talked about the many different types of talents people have. They also learned the story of the talents in the New Testament. They also learned about how President Heber J Grant worked hard to develop his talents. You may want to list talents of all your family members.

If you have a child who is eight to eleven years old he learned about Naaman being healed. The lesson focused on how Naaman was healed, even though he never saw the prophet. Naaman almost didn't follow the prophet's counsel because he didn't actually hear it from the prophet. They learned the importance of having faith and doing as you are instructed. The reading assignment is 2 Kings 5:9-14.

If you have youth ages twelve and thirteen, she learned about service. The lesson shared experiences of others that had served. The youth were encouraged to seek out opportunities to serve in their family and community. You may want to plan a family service project and carry it out.

For everyone over the age of fourteen the Sunday School lesson was based on the prophecies of Amos and Joel. The lesson focused on the prophecies, which had been fulfilled, and the ones that are currently being fulfilled. The lesson also talked about the importance of listening to the prophet.

The Young Women learned about living righteously despite negative pressure to do otherwise. The Young Men learned about the Sacrament. The Priesthood and Relief Society learned about temple work and how it brings families closer together.
