This week's dinner discussions are based on lesson 42 in the manuals. Junior primary and nursery classes are a week behind. This should bring everyone back onto the same schedule in regards to Stake conferences. You may also want to incorporate gratitude into your dinner discussions this week.

If you have a child in nursery he learned that the scriptures came from Heavenly Father and Jesus. They learned that the scriptures teach about Jesus. They learned to handle the scriptures carefully. You may want to talk about why the scriptures are important with your child.

If you have a child between the ages of four and seven he learned about fasting. The children learned that fasting can help bring them closer to the spirit. It helps them to focus on their relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. You may want to talk about your experiences with fasting.

If you have a child between the ages of eight and eleven she learned about the conversion of Saul. The children also learned the importance of repentance. The children were encouraged to memorize the fourth Article of Faith. The assigned reading is Acts 9:1-20.

If you have a child who is twelve or thirteen he learned about honoring his parents. The lesson discussed the story of Samuel and Eli's sons. It also had the youth consider the way that they each treat their parents. You may ask your children to share the story of Abraham Lincoln that they learned.

The Sunday school lesson was based on James. The lesson focused on enduring our trials, being slow to anger, praying in faith and doing what we are taught. Next week's reading assignment is 1 Peter, 2 Peter and Jude.

The young women learned about gratitude. The young men learned about following their priesthood leaders. The Elders Quorum and Relief Society lessons were based on lesson 21 in the Spencer W Kimball manual. The lesson was on revelation. Next week's lesson will be based on General Conference talks. You should contact your local leaders to find out which ones.
