This week's dinner discussions are based on lesson thirty-nine in the manual. The Junior Primary classes are one week behind in the manual. You may need to adjust according to your ward's schedule. Remember to keep dinner discussions upbeat and positive.

If you have a child in Sunbeams he learned about being reverent. The children learned the story of Moses and the burning bush. The children discussed being reverent at church. They also discussed being reverent at home. You should encourage your children to be reverent and make sure to take the time to compliment them when they are.

If you have a child between the ages of four and seven she learned about being pure and righteous. The lesson talked about Mormon in the Book of Mormon. They discussed how he was pure even when the world around him was not. The children then talked about situations they might face in which they need to choose to be righteous. You may want to go over more examples of this with your family.

If you have a child between the ages of eight and eleven he learned about the martyr of Stephen. I accidentally covered the wrong lesson last week. This lesson focuses on the Godhead and the First Vision. This is an extremely important concept to teach your children. You may want to spend extra time on this. The assigned reading is Acts 7:54-60 and Doctrine and Covenants 130:20-22.

If you have a child who is twelve or thirteen she learned about President Spencer W. Kimball and his counsel to lengthen our strides. The children about what it means to lengthen their strides. They looked at Christ's life to see how to apply this to their lives. They were challenged to focus on one area to improve in; you may want to include your entire family in this challenge.

For all members of the church over age fourteen this week's lesson was based on Ephesians. The lesson focused on the dispensation of the fullness of times and the importance of Jesus Christ as our cornerstone. It also talked about unity as a couple and a family. It also covered putting on the whole armor of God. Next week's reading assignment is Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon.

The young women learned about preventing disease. The young men learned about moral courage. The Priesthood and Relief Society lessons talked about the role of woman in the church. It was a wonderful lesson. Next week's lesson is based on recent conference talks. You should talk to your leaders to learn what talks to read.
