Thanksgiving has finally arrived and now thoughts can turn towards Christmas. That is, unless you have already been thinking of Christmas since Halloween. I on the other hand am following Nordstrom’s lead. In case you missed it, Nordstrom had a sign that said the store wouldn’t be decking its halls until November 27th because it liked the idea of celebrating one holiday at a time. The activities range from complicate to simple and are targeted for children’s abilities and interests. The Sharing Time theme for December is “Jesus Christ once lived on earth and I have the faith that He will again.” The scripture for the month is Acts 1:11 “This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” There is not a specific song associated with the month, although the sharing times do have the children sing Christmas songs and songs about Jesus’ life.
