Visible and Invisible Trials

One of the sisters in our ward had a baby recently. She lives in a lovely house, has a handsome husband, and she herself looks like a model. She put on very little weight during the pregnancy and now, although the baby is only weeks old, she is thin and gorgeous.

We've all watched with awe and horror as Ike ripped through the southern portion of the United States, bringing residents of Texas and surrounding areas to their knees. Our hearts go out to those who have been devastated by this event and to those who have lost homes and family members.

From the time our children are born, we teach them about the importance of the temple. We want to impress upon them the sacred nature of that beautiful building and inspire them to marry there for time and all eternity.

The Relief Society president told me I'm fat. The Cub Scout leader made fun of my son when he couldn't remember the Cub Scout promise. The elders quorum president forgot to arrange for help when I moved and I ended up doing the whole thing myself.
