Bringing In Meals

One of the great things about the Relief Society is the way the sisters band together to take care of every little need. When there’s sickness, death or a new baby, one of the most common ways the sisters render service is by bringing in dinner. What a kind, compassionate thing to do for someone who might not be in a position to make a meal for themselves, for whatever reason. Pride and Service

Miriam has written a couple of blogs over the last few months about accepting help and service. As I read these, I found myself nodding in agreement. As I thought about the subject, I realized that there really is only reason we don’t ask for help when we need it: pride. Helping the Homebound

There are many different reasons that members of your ward may be homebound. Usually they are health related. It could be that one person is homebound because they are caring for a spouse who is ill. The elderly may go through periods when they are homebound. It is important to realize that some people may be able to come to church on Sundays, but are still relatively homebound.
