In his talk "And Who Is My Neighbor?" Bishop H David Burton is speaking at the Priesthood session of conference. He gives a report of the humanitarian aid effort of the church over the past year. It is amazing to listen to all that the church has been able to do to help others in need.

Teaching Children to Love and Serve Others

One of the most important things we can teach our children is to serve and help others. This basic concept can be taught from a young age. You can begin to teach your children to consider others feelings by teaching them to share with others.

One fun ward activity is the ward camp out. I remember a lot more of these planned when I was a child, then I do now. However, it is a great activity. A ward camp out can create opportunities to bring the ward closer.

My non-member friend asked me: If I become a Mormon, does that mean I can't talk to my gay brother? You absolutely do not have to give up a relationship with your brother if you join the Church.

Scripture Study - 1 Nephi 16:20-25

Lehi and his family have departed further into the wilderness and are depending on the land to provide them with the food they need. The Liahona has led them through a fertile stretch of land, but Nephi's bow has broken and they aren't able to hunt very effectively.

Young Women: "Anchors of Testimony"

In "Anchors of Testimony," Sister Mary N Cook speaks to the young women of the church. She opens the talk by describing water lilies. She explains that they grow in stagnant ponds and that they have stalks to root them firmly in place.

Primary Time: May 2008 Sharing Time Theme

This month the theme for sharing time is "Heavenly Father planned for me to come to my family. I can strengthen my family now." The scripture is from The Proclamation to the Family, it reads: "The family is central to the Creator's plan for the eternal destiny of His children.
